Alison (LicAc, BSc, MSc, DPhil, MBAcC) graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with a First Class BSc (Hons) degree and Licentiate in Acupuncture. The College is accredited by Kingston University, London, and enjoys an international reputation.

The College is unique in integrating the two main styles of acupuncture practised in the UK, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element acupuncture. A training in both styles of acupuncture means that Alison can offer a wider range of treatment options and possibilities.

In addition to acupuncture, Alison is also trained in the Traditional Chinese Medicine adjunct therapies of Cupping, Moxibustion and Guasha.

Alison is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the main professional and regulatory body for acupuncture in the UK. Accreditation requires extensive training (minimum three years degree level), compliance with stringent Codes of Professional Conduct and Safe Practice, as well as up-to-date knowledge through mandatory continuing professional development, plus full professional insurance cover.

Having benefitted from acupuncture herself, Alison left a successful academic career to re-train as an acupuncturist. She has lived and worked in Canada, South America and Africa. Together with her partner, daughter, son and three dogs, north Devon is now home.
